Sarvajan Hitay Party ("the Party", "we", "us", "our") is a registered political party in India, headquartered at 70/59 Leader Road, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This website is operated by the Party for the purpose of providing information about our activities, enrolling members, accepting donations, and facilitating democratic participation.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it through our website forms. The categories of information we collect include:

• Identity data: Full name, date of birth, gender/sex, blood group (optional).
• Government ID data: We do not collect Aadhaar details from any member. Voter ID information (full Voter ID/EPIC number, serial number, part number, and constituency details) is collected only from members who apply to contest a Party election, for candidacy verification purposes, along with a copy of their Voter ID card.
• Contact data: Mobile number, email address, residential address.
• Location data: State and city/district of residence.
• Photograph: Your photo for use on your party membership ID card.
• Financial data: Donation amount, UPI/bank payment reference number, PAN number (optional, for tax receipts under Section 80GGC/80GGB). We do not store any full bank account or card details.
• Payment screenshots: An optional image of your payment confirmation for verification purposes.
• Technical data: IP address and session data collected automatically for security and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To process and manage Primary and Active Membership enrollment.
• To generate and deliver your official party membership ID card (PDF, via email).
• To process donation submissions and issue donation receipts.
• To verify eligibility for election candidacy applications.
• To contact you regarding your membership status, party events, or important updates.
• To maintain records as required for compliance with Election Commission of India rules.
• To protect the security of our systems and prevent fraudulent submissions.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases as applicable under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India):

• Consent: You provide your data voluntarily when enrolling as a member or making a donation. The declaration checkbox on our forms constitutes explicit consent.
• Legitimate interest: Managing party membership records and complying with democratic and legal processes.
• Legal obligation: Donation and membership records may be maintained as required by the Representation of the People Act and Election Commission guidelines.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your membership is active, and for a minimum of 6 years thereafter to comply with financial and electoral record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of non-mandatory data by contacting us (see Section 8).

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
• Server-side validation and sanitisation of all form submissions.
• Rate limiting on public forms to prevent automated abuse.
• Access to member data restricted to authorised party administrators only.
• Photographs and payment screenshots stored in a secured server directory.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to notify us immediately at sarvajanhitayparty@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your data.

7. Cookies & Tracking

This website uses a session cookie strictly necessary for form security (nonce validation) and our visitor counter. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or profiling technologies. Social media embeds (Facebook, X, Instagram) on our homepage are loaded from those respective platforms and may be subject to their own cookie policies.

8. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Our services are not directed at persons under 18 years of age. Our membership forms require applicants to be at least 18 years old and this is validated both on the form and on the server. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
